Chinese and Cameroonian officials agreed Tuesday that they will work actively
to further promote bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
Addressing the 6th meeting of the Sino-Cameroon Mixed Committeeon Trade and
Economic Cooperation, Cameroonian Foreign Minister Laurent Esso spoke highly of
the friendship between the two countries, noting China is the African country's
best partner for cooperation.
During the two-day meeting, which was also attended by some 500 officials and
businessmen, the two sides reviewed the development of bilateral trade and
economic cooperation, and exchanged ideas on exploring new ways to boost the
two-way trade and cooperation.
Cameroon and China share similar views not only on bilateral relations but
also on international issues, said Esso.
He highlighted China's extensive assistance to Cameroon, sayingthe two
countries have great potentialities in trade and economic cooperation.
The two-day meeting will eventually boost the bilateral trade and economic
cooperation, he said.
Chinese Vice Commerce Minister Wei Jianguo, who leads the Chinese delegation,
presented a five-point proposal to promote cooperation with Cameroon, noting
China will continue to offer as much assistance to Cameroon as it can.
