Watch Video: News center ready for
forum
Journalists from around the world have arrived in Beijing to cover the Forum
on China-Africa Cooperation starting on Wednesday. A huge news centre has been
set up to cope with the speedy transmission of their reports.
The center is equipped with 140 broadband channels, and offers live satellite
transmission. Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Liu Jianchao, said over 1,200
reporters have registered for the forum, including more than 300 from Africa.
China will also allow reporters from Africa to interview Olympic organizers for
the 2008 Beijing Games.
